OSCommerce built website selling books, notebooks, book accessories and more, that we have maintained and made several enhancements to, including automated order exporting in the admin panel allowing admins to export all orders since the previous export or individual exports. The exporting was also created to specific guidelines for Peter Paupers other order tracking software which requirs the record structure to follow strict standards.

Other additions included product importing scripts in the admin panel to allow for multiple products to be added at once through a CSV file and also read a folder on the server to import and manipulate the sizes of the images associated to each product. This was later enhanced to allow the admins to import new images for a specific product simply by uploading the image to the server and clicking a button.

The client already had an existing site from a previous developer firm before they approached us to fix bugs and further enhance to meet their business needs.

Enhanced the existing website to finish work started by another development firm and also incorporate additional work that the client had requested.

Interactive Solutions

Created an order export system that follows strict guidelines set up by another order management system Peter Pauper is using. Import a list of products provided via a CSV file and also handle resizing images as required. Provided our expertise in SEO to help make each page have dynamic data in the meta tags and title.

Results

The website is now ranked higher based on the enhancements made to the SEO. The client is much happier because of the more automated process of adding additional products, instead of the previous manually intensive process.
