Initial Situation:

After creating our first successful Facebook Application, we were looking to advance our skillset with the API. After researching the current applications, we determined that there was not a good non-Flash or Java chat application available for Facebook.

Our Role:

N-VisionIT Interactive was the sole supplier for this project. All tasks including project management, analysis of business flow and system requirements, design, development, and implementation of the system were completed by us.

N-VisionIT Interactive Solutions:

To ensure a smooth chat interface, the application is almost 100% created with Javascript and AJAX. The interface can be completely customized with any colors you would like through the use of a color picker.

Multiple private chats can be carried simulateously with "pop-in" notifications of new messages. Emoticons are available and automatically displayed if you type in the sequence, e.g. ";)" gets replaced with a "wink" icon.

Results:

Prior to Facebook releasing their own Instant Message application, the Facebook application was quite successful with hundreds of people using it on a daily basis.
